At the Washington 2006 World Philatelic Exhibition, May 27 to June 3, 2006:

Exhibitor: Kim, Jung-Suk (R.O.K.), showed an exhibit of: The Postal History of Korea in a Period of Transition, 1945-1948. He won a "Large Gold medal".

Exhibitor: Maeda, Taizo (Japan), showed an exhibit of: "D.P.R. of Korea (North Korea) 1st Decade". He won a "Large Vermeil medal".

Exhibitor: Oh, Byung Yoon (R.O.K.), showed an exhibit of: "The Choson Definitive Stamps During the Transitional Periods (August 15, 1945-August 11, 1948)". He won a "Large Gold medal".
