New Stamps Issued
Pyongyang, December 16 (KCNA) -- A new stamp (souvenir sheet) was issued in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea to mark the 50th anniversary of the start of Koreans' repatriation from Japan.
The start of their coming back to the DPRK on December 16, Juche 48 (1959) was a historic event which brought about a radical turn in hewing out their destiny.
Printed in the sheet, with letters "In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the start of Koreans' repatriation from Japan" in its upper part, is a picture of President Kim Il Sung being among repatriates.
Among the newly issued stamps are those portraying the national flag of the DPRK and the torch of the Tower of the Juche Idea.
