New Postage Stamps Issued

Pyongyang, March 1 (KCNA) -- The State Stamp Bureau of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea has issued new stamps reflecting the joint New Year editorial of the DPRK's major newspapers.

The editorial contains the strong will of the Workers' Party of Korea to bring about a decisive turn in the improvement of the people's standard of living and the building of a great, prosperous and powerful country by accelerating the development of light industry once again this year.

The five individual stamps portray the Korean army and people striving hard to build a thriving nation as wished by President Kim Il Sung and greet his 100th birth anniversary as the greatest holiday of the country and a significant event of humankind.
