Commemorative Stamp Issued

Pyongyang, March 12 (KCNA) -- The State Stamp Bureau of the DPRK issued a stamp to commemorate the 65th anniversary of the first stamp in the country after its liberation from the Japanese colonial rule.

Since President Kim Il Sung accomplished the historical cause of national liberation on August 15, Juche 34 (1945), the mail service has steadily developed in the country.

Seen in the new stamp are pictures of the DPRK flag, a magnolia (national flower) blossoms and the first stamp "Samsonam" brought out on March 12, Juche 35 (1946).
