Genealogy....................

We are descendants of John Wesley Penn, who was born in the City or County of Balitmore, Maryland (March 5, 1816), according to numerous records.

Although a renown Van Wert County, Ohio, genealogist has a John W Penn there in 1838, we have not found a connection as of yet. We have our John W Penn firmly in Zanesville, Ohio (October 14, 1841), when he married Aurilla F (Hanson) Davis.

John W, Aurilla F, and their first child Edith M (born September 29, 1844), moved to Van Wert, Ohio, in 1845 where John W soon opened a furniture store.

Aurilla F died in 1891. John W died March 6, 1894, one day after his 78th birthday. Both are entombed in Woodlawn Cemetary, Van Wert, Ohio.
